The industry anticipates a 20% uptick in receipts over 2012, according to Billboard.

The curiously chaotic life of 26-year-old pop star Ke$ha gets the reality-show treatment in MTV's new docu-series Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, which premieres Tuesday night (11 p.m. ET/PT). The all-access twist: The show was shot over two years by her filmmaker brother, Lagan Sebert.

He's up for six Grammy Awards, including best new artist, album and record. Orange won a Soul Train Music Award for album of the year in November and has piled up mentions on numerous best-of-2012 lists.

 5:07p.m. EDT March 10, 2013  The story of Berry Gordy Jr.'s famed Detroit music label will debut in New York in April. Still, the musical has faced some skeptics since it was announced last summer. Some theater insiders have questioned Gordy's playwriting credentials. Others wonder whether he can grant his own story the juicy conflict it needs to be compelling. News media reports out of New York claim the script has been relentlessly overhauled in recent months, refined with help from veteran writers Dick Scanlan and David Goldsmith.
