Think high school yearbook superlatives — if Angelina Jolie and Miranda Lambert were classmates.
Most on-the-defensive: Amber Heard
"I haven't noticed any change in my career," Amber Heard, 28, told W magazine's June/July issue, commenting on public perception of her engagement to Johnny Depp, 50. "And, for better or worse, I've always had a love life that seemed particularly salacious to some people."
Most M.I.A.: Beyoncé and Jay Z at Kimye's wedding
The Kim Kardashian/Kanye West coverage was non-stop, but we couldn't stop reading, could we? New details, new photos, new honeymoon info and new guest Instagrams all came "leaking" out from the wedding that was. The only thing we didn't find out was the real reason Bey and Jay stayed in the Hamptons while Valentino hosted Kimye's brunch, Lana Del Rey popped up at the rehearsal dinner and John Legend sang All of Me at the reception. So will they throw a glitzy makeup bash for the couple? Stay tuned.
Most committed to not publicizing her 'I do' plans: Angelina Jolie
When it comes to the almighty A-list, no one has Brangelina beat. Jolie took the red carpet by storm this week at the L.A. premiere of Maleficent and got plenty of tongues wagging, just in time for the Disney film's worldwide release. As for her much-anticipated wedding to Brad Pitt? "We don't have any plans to get married at the moment. Nothing is organized. Nothing is ready. I don't have a dress."
Canniest career moves: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson
Did you hear? At Cannes, the Twilight alums took another step toward shedding their vampire personas in films that deftly skewered the industry town that made them. Stewart earned critical praise for Clouds of Sils Maria, playing a headstrong assistant to a major movie star (Juliette Binoche). And in Maps to the Stars, Pattinson held his own against Julianne Moore (who won the film festival's best-actress award for playing an aging movie star) as a wannabe actor/limo driver, and earned raves getting grimy in The Rover. Well played, you two.
Coolest gift-giver: Miranda Lambert
That's quite a thank-you! Less than a week after they sang together at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas, Lambert gifted Carrie Underwood with a pretty sweet motorcycle. "Well, it's not every day @mirandalambert buys you a motorcycle! Next stop, motorcycle driving lessons!!!" Underwood wrote on Twitter, posting a hot shot of her new ride. "#RansTheBest," indeed.
Most ridiculous upskirt shot: Duchess Kate
Those adorable snaps of Prince George weren't enough for some gossip rags. Paparazzi photographs of Kate Middleton's bare bum, taken in the Australian Blue Mountains as helicopter blades blew her skirt up, were published in German magazine Bild this week. The photos caused an international bidding war and a reignited debate over privacy. They also inspired Bild to compare Kate's derrière to Kim Kardashian's. Sigh.
